Chapter Projects

The Puget Sound Chapter offers several ways to get involved, share your knowledge, and have some fun while doing it. Chapter Projects are a way for our chapter and its members to show their support for both the association and the communities it serves.

If you would like to join in on one or more of our chapter projects or find out more, contact the Chapter and your email will be forwarded to the appropriate Chapter Officer.
  • Annual Holiday Auction: this annual event is the major funding source for the many chapter scholarships that are offered.

  • Community Projects
    • Tone Transitional Center: Established in May, 1988, in accordance with the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act, the Eugene P. Tone Transitional Center addresses the needs of children and families residing in Tacoma’s homeless shelters and other temporary housing.  The Puget Sound Chapter remains dedicated to helping in this endeavor by continuing to assist the children and their families in many ways such as providing students with the necessary school materials and clothing.
    • Community Records Project: Professional records managers offer their expertise without charge to non-profit organizations to help them organize their records. We also assist quasi-governmental agencies with record retention and organization. These projects are part of our community outreach to promote records management.
