Special Notice!

Puget Sound Chapter Members:

The start of the 2009-2010 Chapter Year brings an exciting new program for Puget Sound Chapter Members.  Have you ever wished for a more "personal" way to give back to the chapter?  Ever found yourself thinking "I really should share what I have learned?"  Or perhaps you have felt lost in this RIM world and would like to develop your professional networking contacts.  If so, I would like to invite you to participate in the Puget Sound Chapter's Pilot Mentorship Program, "Creating Connections".  The purpose of this program is to "take advantage of the wealth of knowledge our chapter members hold to provide encouragement and support to fellow Puget Sound Chapter members."

A program workshop is being offered at our November 10, 2009 lunchtime meeting with a training session for potential mentors.  We will give you the tools and skills to effectively mentor a fellow Puget Sound Chapter member.  After this session you will be paired with a PSC member who has requested a mentor.  There are only a few requirements to being a mentor, have at least 5 years of RIM experience, be able to set aside the time to mentor, and be excited about sharing your knowledge with a fellow member.  For those wishing to be mentored, all you have to do is be willing to learn from your fellow chapter member, be dedicated to meeting with them, and define 2 outcomes you hope to achieve through this program.

If this program sounds like one you would like to be involved in, then please join us at our mentorship training workshop.

I hope that you will join us in this pilot program as we help to develop the PSC networking connections and the creation of a stronger and more unified chapter.

Sincerely,

Ember D. Krumwied, CRM
